WELCOME TO OUR SITE Tap-it software products are designed for use by electrical contractors, health and safety personnel and others who carry out inspection and testing.
We strongly support the use of handhelds for the collection of data on site and, where possible, for printing certificates before returning to base.

New Software: KT71 POP - Fully Updated KT71 POP Software can be purchased online.
Tap-it's KT71 POP Software, released Monday 14 January.
PAT TESTING: NEW PRODUCT SAVES TIME, INCREASES PROFIT
KT71 POP is specifically designed to be compatible with Kewtech's brilliant KT71 Portable Appliance tester, the software runs on PC and laptop computers running Windows and handheld PDAs running the Palm AND Windows Mobile operating systems.
The software can be used to record the data for a whole site - which is how most Contractors would use it. It can also be used on a day-by-day basis as might be required when testing is carried out by in-house staff in a factory or office block. Day-by-day would also be used when staff working on site pop back to base for routine tool checks.
An additional, and unique, feature introduced in Issue 2.6.23031 of KT71 POP is the ability to use upper case letters as well as digits to identify appliances, thus KET005 and MON027. More details about the new KT71 POP can now be found here... and an evaluation download available now here... Be one of the first to trial this great new software FREE!! (Serial number: EVALUATION, Product code: 4919-62384)
Also see details of the KT71 tester on Kewtechs website

| ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR ISSUE 7.30 The current version of Electrical Inspector has these new features ...
Data downloaded from a handheld can be edited on the PC NICEIC Fire Alarm Certificate, FHR2, has been added to the list of certificates available to NICEIC Enrolled Contractors. There is a small charge for this option The email facility has been updated to reflect the changes made to the Palm email program
The updated PC program emulates the program running on a handheld so that a person familiar with Electrical Inspector on a handheld can run the new program on a PC without any training.
This image shows Electrical Inspector's new PC screen. |
|
A side effect of the new arrangements is that a potential user without a Palm handheld can download the program and run it on the PC. He will then see exactly how the program appears on a Palm handheld.

CURRENT PALM HANDHELDS Palm's current models which are well suited to our software are the E2, the TX and the Treo680 Smartphone. Details of these and Palm's other models can be found on the Palm web site.
The TX is an enhanced version of the Tungsten E2 with WiFi communication and 100 Mbyte memory.
The TREO 680 Smartphone, like its predecessor, the Treo 650, combines a Palm handheld with a mobile phone. It has facilities for sending and receiving emails, for surfing the web and, in common with all modern Palms, for creating and editing Word and Excel documents.
The Zire 22, which Palm are selling for under £80 is not really suitable for use with tap-it products because it does not have an SD card slot (essential for in-field backups); it has volatile memory (if the battery runs out, all data is lost); it does not have Bluetooth (used with TomTom GPS); and Documents to Go is not supplied with the Z22 (This is used to create and edit Word documents and Xcel worksheets)
It's really worth the extra £70 for the E2! |
