  • Laptop/PC alone
  • Office laptop/PC with a Palm
    PDA handheld on site
  • Palm PDA handheld alone

The software can be used with any manual tester which carries out some or all of these tests.

  • Introduction

Taking advantage of all of the user aids provided by KT71 POP, it is possible to record an appliance and its test results in 20 seconds. That's not 20 seconds per detail or test result but 20 seconds for the whole lot!

    The term User aids covers...

  • Auto numbering: the software assigns appliance numbers when testing on a new site
  • Leading zeros: leading zeros and added to appliance identities
  • Drop-down lists
  • One-tap selection of test types and test intervals
  • Default values for test results

While some will want to take a laptop to site to record information, others may prefer to use a Palm handheld on site and to download the data to a PC in order to print test certificates.

When used for in-house testing, the software might be used on a Palm handheld alone.
  • Description 2

Apart from speed of data entry, KT71 POP's primary features are …

  • Printed documents may be created as pdf documents for electronic storage and despatch by email
  • Optional printing of certificates and reports from the PDA handheld
  • Optional support for two or more handhelds
  • Clear, intuitive menus and data entry screens - you'll scarcely need to refer to the HELP displays and will not need any training
  • PC and handheld modules are very similar

NOTE Provision has been made for those who would like to use a Palm handheld but do not want to use the stylus. The Palm module can be operated in finger mode. Data entry and menu selection just requires a Mk 1 finger!
